LHCb Masterclasses let high-school students try an analysis using real events from the LHCb experiment. The CERN record describes students visiting nearby universities and becoming particle physicists for a day.

What students investigate[edit]

Students select a particular decay of a D0 meson that produces a kaon and a pion. They then measure the D0 lifetime using analysis tools and techniques used by LHCb researchers.
